Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Love it! A vintage German Cafe with coffee and cake. They are also open for lunch and have really good German food. If you would like to go back a 100 years, this would be the place. Waitresses dressed in black and white outfit with cute white hats, just like the old times. They also have a wide variety of Coffee and Drinks. Must visit if you’re in Berlin!"
"Great cake, friendly service, shady outside seating with a view (inside looks cute too, but was closed). Will come back to try one of the fancy ice cream creations."
"A nice cafe with an old styled ambience. The huge amounts of hot drinks including tea, coffee, cacao. I especially loved the menu where every second page has some interesting information or anecdotes, for me as a not German it was very interesting to dive a bit in the popular German culture. The people working there who are very polite and friendly and dressed in some special clothing, that adds points to the ambience. There was a man who played piano, I don't know if the man is working there or a volunteer, but it was very nice And finally I was very happy to find white tee there!"
"I’ve been wanting to visit this cafe since moving here two years ago, and I finally did yesterday. I sat outside in their space that is on the waterfront. It’s a small space, but spacious enough that I was able to bring my two Huskies with me. The cake was tasty, although it was served on its side in the plate, so the fruit topping slid off. The coffee was good too. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I was a bit turned off as I walked in and was not greeted with a hello, but rather with a statement that they’re closing at 18:30 (I arrived at 17:50). They could use a little refresher training on how to treat your customers."
"Hidden gem in Köpenick. I like the renovation and decoration. Very comfy and cozy for an afternoon coffee."
"Located by the river, this charming café offers a huge selection of breakfast plates — sweet, savoury, vegetarian, and more. They also serve cakes, lunch dishes, and ice cream. One of the highlights is the outdoor seating right by the water, perfect for enjoying a sunny day. With its traditional touch and cosy atmosphere, it’s a lovely spot in Köpenick."
"Super nice interior and pretty outdoor area The coffee is good, the variety of desserts is great! Service is good, the staff is helpful. There is live music sometimes which is super cool."
"Cards accepted What a lovely old cafe The interior is really amazing and reminded me of some traditional tea houses in the UK, homemade cakes are amazing. But they are very big and filling so good to share. A good amount of tea/coffee/ hot chocolate choice"
